Room Review

The Palazzo is a luxury all-suite hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip, designed with a refined Italian-inspired aesthetic and a focus on upscale comfort. As part of the larger Venetian complex, it offers guests access to an expansive integrated resort experience, combining elegant accommodations with world-class entertainment, shopping, and dining.

I stayed in the Luxury King City View suite, which is one of the largest entry-level rooms on the Las Vegas Strip (about 720 sq ft).  At the time of booking, rates were around $250 per night, though prices typically range from $130–$1,300 depending on demand. The average night cost is $204. While it’s not the cheapest option on the Strip, the extra space and upscale feel make it a great value especially for travelers who want a more relaxed, non-party atmosphere.

The room’s design balances comfort and style, with neutral tones and high-quality furnishings. The technology includes a smart TV, USB charging ports, and fast Wi-Fi, making it easy to relax or catch up on work if needed.

Afternoon:

Lunch at Gjelina

Gjelina at The Venetian leans into a California‑influenced, Mediterranean‑style menu that’s all about seasonal ingredients and simple flavors. You’ll see things like oysters and seafood, charcuterie boards, house‑made pastas, wood‑fired pizzas, and larger dishes like steak, roasted chicken, and fish, so there’s a mix of lighter options and more filling plates depending on what you’re in the mood for

• Blackened Sea Bass sandwich

• Wood-fired margarita pizza

The blackened sea bass sandwich was honestly so good. The ingredients went so well together, and the sandwich wasn't too heavy. It comes with blackened sea bass on toasted pan de mie, topped with black garlic aioli and a fresh slaw that balances everything out really nicely. The Pomodoro pizza, with confit tomatoes, oregano, basil, and olive oil (I added burrata), was simple and light, nothing super standout, but it's a great choice if you want pizza that won’t leave you feeling overly full.

Before your next activity, take some time to wander the Grand Canal Shoppes. Even if you’re not big on shopping, this indoor space is worth exploring for its unique design.

Centered around a quarter mile-long indoor canal, the venue features gondola rides with serenading gondoliers, creating an immersive experience that blends sightseeing with retail.

The Grand Canal Shoppes has more than 160 stores ranging from luxury designer brands to popular retailers, along with numerous restaurants offering global cuisine from renowned chefs, while also hosting live performances throughout the space. Making it a vibrant, all-in-one destination connected to both The Venetian and The Palazzo resorts

Take a Gondola Ride

One of the most relaxing experiences at The Palazzo/Venetian is the gondola ride. Floating along the indoor canal offers a break from the energy of the Strip. Guided by a gondolier, the ride lasts about 15 minutes and gives you a chance to enjoy the Grand Canal Shoppes and take in the detailed architecture.

For dinner, head to Via Via Food Hall inside The Venetian for a more casual dining experience. With a variety of food vendors all in one place, it's a great place to switch things up after a day of exploring. The laid-back atmosphere is a nice contrast to the luxury of The Palazzo, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed meal.

What I Ordered:

Howlin' Ray's

Howlin' Ray's is famous for its Nashville-style hot chicken, and it definitely lives up to the hype. The chicken is crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. One of the best things about Howlin' Ray's is that you can choose your spice level, ranging from mild all the way up to "Howlin' Hot."

I ordered the Hot level because I usually have a pretty high spice tolerance. Let's just say I underestimated it. My mouth was on fire after the first few bites, but the flavor was so good that I couldn't stop eating. If you love spicy food, this is a must-try.

P.S. Don't let the photos fool you. The lighting made the chicken look darker than it actually was. The tenders looked much better in person!

B.S. Taqueria

I also stopped by B.S. Taqueria and ordered the Birria Nachos, which ended up being another standout.

The nachos were loaded with a generous amount of flavorful birria and plenty of toppings to be a full meal on their own. If you're craving Mexican food, this is an easy recommendation and definitely enough for one person.

Evening: Cocktails or a Show

One of the best things about staying at The Palazzo is that some of Las Vegas' top entertainment venues are right at your doorstep. You don't need to spend your evening on the casino floor to experience the excitement of Vegas.

For live entertainment, check the schedule at the Venetian Theatre, which regularly hosts concerts, comedy shows, magic performances, and special events from well-known headliners. The intimate theater setting provides a great viewing experience and is an easy addition to your evening without ever leaving the resort.

Another excellent option is Sphere, located within walking distance of The Palazzo. This state-of-the-art venue has quickly become one of Las Vegas' most iconic attractions, featuring immersive concerts, visual experiences, and cutting-edge technology that makes every show feel unlike anything else on the Strip.

If a show isn't on your agenda, consider stopping by one of the resort's lounges or bars to unwind. The Venetian and Palazzo are home to several cocktail lounges and live music venues that offer a relaxed atmosphere for people-watching, enjoying a drink, or listening to live entertainment.

Waking up at The Palazzo is an experience in itself. Especially if you’re greeted with a view of clear blue skies right from your window. Before heading out, take a few moments to enjoy the view ease into the morning at your own pace.

Morning Breakfast at Yardbird

Wrap up your stay with breakfast at Yardbird Southern Table & Bar. Known for its Southern comfort food, Yardbird offers a menu that combines classic dishes with fresh ingredients. The portions are generous, and the atmosphere is relaxed—perfect for easing into the day.

The portion of chicken was actually really generous, way more than I expected, and I even ended up taking some home. That’s always a nice bonus. On top of that, the chicken was super tender, which made it even more enjoyable to eat.

Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast Multigrain Bread

(Includes: Radish, Basil, Pickled Shallots, Fennel 27)

The smoked salmon avocado toast was also a really good portion, and out of the two dishes, this one ended up being my favorite. I’m usually not a big fan of multigrain bread, but this was actually really good. I almost always order something with smoked salmon when it’s on the menu for breakfast, so I decided to give this one a try, and I’m glad I did.
